Our Mission is to unlock the cycle of recidivism in the lives of the homeless and system impacted individuals by giving them a new cognitive way of thinking using peer-based service delivery.
WBFPM,envisioned to be a peer driven organization. We address the overwhelming trauma in the youth, homeless and system impacted men and women .
Our goal is to create a new approach for homeless individuals and returning citizens to enable them to achieve long-term stability by providing access to safe and affordable housing, employment opportunities, necessary support services, and a pathway to become self-sufficient and fully integrated back into the community.
There are 2.3 million people incarcerated in the United States, a 500% increase over the past 40 years. People who are incarcerated are disproportionately Black and low-income. In Texas, there 250,000 people from Texas are behind bars in prisons, jails, and youth facilities
Homelessness and incarceration are intricately connected to recidivism. Individuals who lack stable housing and supportive services upon release from prison face significant challenges.
Young adults are disproportionately represented in the prison system, making up 21% of people admitted to adult prison each year.
